Jackie

Hi, I’m Jackie.

I grew up in Minnesota and received my BS degree in Elementary Education  from St. Cloud State University in 1981. I have been an early childhood teacher since 1981, and started at Creek Day School in 1988.  

I have worked with all of the ages here at Creek from 2 to 5 years old.  I am currently teaching the 4 and 5 year olds which we call the Penguin group.  My teaching reflects the belief that children learn through hands-on activities.  My goal is to provide a wide array of activities throughout the day which motivates children to learn through exploration and discovery.  Making connections with others and learning to be a responsible member of the community is also an important part of the classroom.  I enjoy working with the children, helping them learn and seeing the “AHA” moment.
